Beyond Nen Hunter Exam guide: the Stamina Race, Trick Tower, Zevil Island and the Final Tournament, plus what the Hunter License unlocks.

The Beyond Nen Hunter Exam is the four-stage test in this Roblox game that earns you a Hunter License. It is the first real gate in the Hunter x Hunter inspired action RPG, and the license is the start of the road to Nen. It is a different game from Hunter Era, Eternal Nen and Nen Fighting Simulator. This page follows the published guides, checked on 2026-11-07, and marks what only one source says.

Beyond Nen Hunter Exam Overview

You join the exam through a lobby, which you open from the main menu. Friends can be invited into the lobby, so you can take it as a group. Parts of the exam are player versus player, so a stable connection and low ping matter more here than in the rest of the game.

The Beyond Nen Hunter Exam has one reward, the Hunter License. The official game description says it unlocks Hunter missions, and Destructoid says it is the first step on the route to Nen. Our how to get Nen in Beyond Nen page covers every step after the license.

One timing claim comes from a single source. Item Level says the exam appears every 4 hours, but Destructoid gives no timer. Treat the 4-hour spawn as unconfirmed and check the lobby yourself. The developers have not published an official schedule or a recommended level.

StageTypeWhat it asks of you
1. Stamina RaceObstacle courseBeat the time limit
2. Trick TowerLabyrinth and mini-bossAvoid traps, then beat an NPC
3. Zevil IslandOpen PvPHold two badges until the timer ends
4. Final Tournament1v1Win against a random lobby player

Stage 1: Stamina Race

The Stamina Race is an obstacle course with falling boulders. Their paths are telegraphed, so you can read them and move around them. Your only goal is to finish inside the time limit, not to finish first.

Sprinting on Shift drains stamina, and one guide calls that drain a bug. Its workaround is to turn on auto-run in Settings. Sliding into a jump is also reported to work. See the Beyond Nen controls page for the rest of the keys.

Stage 2: Trick Tower

Trick Tower is a labyrinth. Pressure plates trigger crushers in the side walls, and there are traps in the ceiling, so slow down and watch the floor before stepping. At the end you fight a mini-boss NPC.

The mini-boss uses a fire tornado attack. Its name has not been published, and no source gives its health or damage.

Stage 3: Zevil Island

Zevil Island is open PvP against other players. To pass, you must still hold two badges when the timer ends: your own plus one you take from someone else by gripping them.

If another player grips you, you lose a badge and revive at 50% health. You can still recover by taking one back. Because this is where lag hurts most, it is the stage that explains the ping warning above.

Stage 4: Final Tournament

The last stage is a 1v1 duel against a random player from your lobby. Win it and the Beyond Nen Hunter Exam ends with the Hunter License, and a Hunter mark appears in the top right of your screen.

With the license in hand, the next move is Nen. Browse the Beyond Nen Nen types page to see what the five affinities are before you meet Rohan, and the Beyond Nen tier list to see how published rankings treat the lineages you may roll.

Beyond Nen Hunter Exam Tips

  • Turn on auto-run in Settings before the Stamina Race, as Destructoid suggests.
  • A skateboard helps in the race. It is a gamepass item, so see the Beyond Nen gamepasses list for prices. You can pass without it.
  • Invite friends through the lobby, but remember Zevil Island and the finals are still PvP.
  • Play on a steady connection for the PvP stages.
  • Do the Beyond Nen beginner guide first if you are new, since the exam assumes you can already fight.

Roblox updates move fast right now. The game launched in full on November 7, and our Beyond Nen release date page tracks the timeline. Free spins are covered on Beyond Nen codes, and everything else lives on the Beyond Nen wiki home page. We do not cover scripts or exploits.
