How To Get Nen In Beyond Nen is the first big question in this Roblox game, and the answer is a quest chain: license, Librarian, Rohan, a Meditation Mat and a meditation session. It is not Hunter Era, Eternal Nen or Nen Fighting Simulator. Two sources describe slightly different starts, so this page shows both and says where they conflict.
How To Get Nen In Beyond Nen: The Route
Destructoid gives this order for how to get Nen in Beyond Nen. Follow it top to bottom.
- Win the Beyond Nen Hunter Exam to earn the Hunter License.
- Talk to the Librarian in Port Town.
- Travel to Rohan at the Nen Cave on Wayfarer Island.
- Buy a Meditation Mat from the merchant in Port Town.
- Place the mat and meditate with T. Letter prompts appear, and you press the matching keys.
- Return to Rohan to receive a random Nen ability.
Once you have Nen, three keys matter: E opens the technique wheel, G charges Nen, and M opens the skill tree. The full list is on Beyond Nen controls.
The Level 10 Route From Item Level
Item Level tells a different story. It says that at level 10 you speak to the Librarian, and that the Nen path then needs the aura nodes opened. This conflicts with Destructoid, which makes the license the key. We have not resolved it, so check in game. Both claims come from one outlet each, and the Item Level details are low confidence.
Item Level lists three ways to open the aura nodes:
- Take the Hunter Exam, which it says appears every 4 hours.
- Find all seven Node Masters, which it says spawn about every 45 minutes with an alert.
- Have another Nen user open them for you. It calls this risky with a low success chance, and it may grant a talent called Way of Nen.
It also says Rohan asks you to meditate up to 10/10. The 4-hour and 45-minute timers have no second source. If you want help finding Node Masters, the Beyond Nen gamepasses list includes an Aura Node Master Locator, though its exact effect is undocumented.
Zetsu, Ken And Mastery
Zetsu and Ken are extra techniques. Item Level says they unlock through requirements plus meditation XP. Some skill tree abilities are also gated by mastery levels, such as Transmutation Mastery and Emission Mastery.

What You Get After Meditation
The last step of how to get Nen in Beyond Nen is one random ability from Rohan. The Nen affinities per Item Level are Enhancement, Emission, Transmutation, Conjuration and Manipulation. Destructoid also lists Specialization abilities, and it is unconfirmed whether Specialization can be rolled.
